Library Science (BLIS) - The main objective of the program is to help those who are already employed in various
libraries, to upgrade their professional knowledge and become competitive for
the betterment of their career and employment.

The minimum
qualification for admission to the BLIS program is graduation in any
discipline.
The
bachelor's degree program in library and information science is meant to
provide the necessary training and skills for effective organization and
management of libraries and information units.
The main objective of the program is to help those who have already completed a
bachelor's degree in any Discipline and upgrade their
professional knowledge and skills in the field of Library Science.

opportunities and career prospects. Employed in various libraries in India & Foreign.
The Bachelor
of Library and Information Science (BLIS) course consists of eight papers. Six
of these are Theory Papers and two are Practicals of Papers, each with 100
marks, divided between Written Examination, Home Assignment, and Practical
Work.
Students
admitted to the BLIS program are required to pass each paper of the course
separately. To pass each paper, a student must secure at least 33% marks in
each paper.
To determine the above 33%. The marks in each paper, the marks
obtained by the student, in both the written examination and assignment /
practical work, as the case may be, will be clubbed and counted together and
the percentage will be determined accordingly.

The
candidate has failed to achieve or secure zero marks in the written examination
and/or homework and practical work, as the case may be, in any paper, he/she
shall be deemed to have failed in that paper.
Failing the paper will mean failure in the entire examination. As such, students should
work hard to pass in all the papers individually.
In order to
pass the BLIS exam, it will be necessary for every student, to secure at least
33% marks in each paper.
To determine
the 33% marks in each paper, the marks obtained by the candidate, both in the
term-and theoretical written examination and the practical examination/home
