Nalanda Open University to be started Practical application in the computer on PAP  for all students for the MLIS course.

Where students will take practical training in computer usages (20 marks) as it is considered important for the efficient management of libraries.

Similarly, a new paper on advanced library classification and library cataloging has been introduced to keep students abreast of new library classification/catalog techniques.

In order to pass the MLIS exam, it will be necessary for every student, to secure at least 33% marks in each paper.

To determine the 33% marks in each paper, the marks obtained by the candidate, both in the term-and theoretical written examination and the practical examination/home Assignment.  

However, if a candidate has failed to achieve or secure zero marks in a term-end theoretical examination or practical examination/home.

The assignment, in any paper, would be considered a failure in that paper.

Failing a paper will mean failure in the entire examination. Therefore, students should work hard to pass all the papers separately.
