Master's degree in any discipline.

Diploma in Library and Information Science with a Bachelor's degree (minimum three years)

OR

Two years of work experience in a library and information center with a bachelor's degree (minimum of three years).

OR

Bachelor's degree in professional subjects (eg LLB; B.Pharma, B.Teach / B.E., Etc.).

Duration of BLIS Course- Minimum one year, maximum of 4 years

BLIS Fees - Rs. 7900/- Rupee

Program Structure: There are Consist of 8 Paper in the Bachelor of Library and Information Sciences (BLIS) program. Each course is of 6 grades.

To develop skills in Students for effective organization and organization of library and information units.

To assist the personnel working in library and information units in professional development and increase employment opportunities.

Imparting deep knowledge and skills to diploma holders in the library and information science.

Examination The pattern of BLIS from Mahaveer Open University

Main Examination (Theory Paper): Three hours have written examination of each course (question paper) of the student after the minimum period ie 1 year.

A maximum of 70 marks are prescribed for the Term End Examination of each course (question paper). Both parts of each syllabus (question paper) That is, both have a different passing score of 36 percent for passing in Term End Examination and in Sessional / Internal Home Work.

If student If you have not passed some course (question paper), then the upcoming six months to pass that course (question paper) May re-sit within the maximum the period prescribed in the examination.

Sessional Homework: Each course (question paper) will have 30 marks of Sessional / Internal Homework.

Sessional/internal homework will have to be done. At the concerned Regional Center / Study Center, before completing the Terminal Examination by completing the session / internal housework

To be submitted before the date fixed by the university.

Note- This the program will be conducted at the Model Study Center located at all the seven regional centers of the Mahaveer Open University.
