Eligibility Criteria for Admission for MLIS course at Banaras Hindu University (BHU).

Bachelor's degree under at least 10 + 2 + 3 patterns with a total of 50% marks in aggregate including all subjects studied at the undergraduate level except in those subjects where only passing marks are required and which do not contribute to the final total We do.

Course Duration -  2-Year Integrated Course of Master of Library & Information Science (M.Lib.I.Sc.)

Course Structure - (1)The integrated M.Lib.I.Sc. The course will be of 2 years duration consisting of 4 semesters with a total of 80 credits. Each paper is of 5 Credits except the courses offered through the Swayam portal.

These questions will be based on:

1. General awareness : (General Knowledge - Science, Social Studies, and Humanities & Current Affairs)

2. Quantitative Aptitude.

3. Analytical, & Verbal Reasoning.

4. Verbal ability (knowledge of Language) and Reading Comprehension

The questions will be from diverse fields of experience ranging from activities of daily life to broad categories of academic interests such as science, social studies, and humanities, etc. These will be standard undergraduate degrees (under 10 + 2 + 3 pattern). Questions are set in English medium only. 123. 

Semester Examinations (MLIS course in BHU)

Master of Library Science course from BHU will be 4-Semester examinations during the complete the MLIS course.

In the session, the 2-semester examination will be held at the end of the semester i.e. December and April.

There will be 4 papers, each of 100 marks every semester, and the candidate will have to give 3 tests/sessionals in every paper which will be of 30 marks.

The semester system of the university follows the Grading System in lieu of the traditional marking system. There will be 5 Credits in each paper, 20 Credits (total) in each semester.
